DISABILITY INCLUSION RWANDA is the organization made up by members, member organizations set up for knowledge sharing, information and with the purpose of advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities including mental disabilities (intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, dawn syndrome, neuro-mental challenges and psycho-social challenges) in Rwanda

We are basically focusing on:

Education

we advocate for inclusive education for the children and youth with intellectual disabilities in Rwanda. Where children without disabilities are in the same classroom with those with disabilities incl.

HEALTH:

It has been revealed that some parents do not treat their children with mental/intellectual disabilities like other family children, where children without disabilities are sent to a health centre/h.

ADVOCACY Rwanda

Our activities are oriented in advocacy activities; targeting good implementation of present policies and laws, training youth with intellectual disabilities on CRPD/CRC to become strong Self Ad.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT:

We empower Self Advocates and parents in the management of small projects We empower Self Advocates and parents in the management of small projects and income-generating activities .
