WHO WE ARE

Disability Inclusion Rwanda (DIR)

Disability Inclusion Rwanda is the Non governmental Organisation of People with intellectual Disabilities made up mainly by Self Advocates supported by parents/ Siblings.
It operates at national level for the right-based inclusive education, protection, social inclusion and climate change in all national legal frameworks and programs for the betterment of people with intellectual disabilities in Rwanda.

All people with disabilities especially those with mental/ intellectual disabilities are inclusively educated, seen, heard and fully socioeconomically included in Rwanda.

OUR MISSION

To advocate for promotion of the right based inclusive education, inclusive legal frameworks, dignity and equal opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and capacity building to its members.

OUR OBJECTIVES

-To advocate for the right based visibility, recognition, participation, inclusive education, visibility, capacity building and knowledge of persons with intellectual disabilities especially in the areas of health, education, Self-advocacy and sustainable inclusive economic development.
